One of Tchaikovsky's misses. There's some great world building in here but the overall storyline is just too boring. It might just be me being unable to empathize with yet another robot trying to find its place in the world, but I just didn't care what happened to it.
I loved the different characters that showed up over the span of the Service Model's journey, though. As I said, the world building was great. It just didn't create a storyline that felt worth reading to me.
