I loved Svensson's "The Gospel of the Eels" so much that I was a bit apprehensive getting into "Die Chronistin der Meere". Turns out that I was right to be. This book feels a bit all over the place. I didn't find a red thread and wondered for most of the book what it's supposed to be about. Every chapter has a new topic, slightly related to the sea. None of them were incredibly interesting, some downright boring.
Bummer.
